Distinctly Human is here to remind you of the human experience. To be present in your mind, body, and life. As the physical, shared world we live in transitions to more online spaces, Distinctly Human seeks to be a breath of fresh air, a relief from the noise. It may sound contradictory to be writing this on the internet, but alas, this is only the start of something. In an attempt to counter the quantity over quality standard, this is a biweekly newsletter and growing brand that strives to be quality over quanity. Additionally, all T-shirts are designed in only one color per design, as they are created with specific intentions in mind based on writing pieces. With presence being the focal point, this is the only place you can find Distinctly Human on the internet. 

Distinctly Human as a Place of Presence

The goal is to reconnect us to each other, our environment, and the human experience. Each writing piece places one of these at its center and builds. As modern society grows more disconnected from the physical world, I hope that through writing and intentional design, I can remind you of the person within us all and the connection we share. That living in the real world remains the most important place we can be and turn our attention towards. Further, by reconnecting with our physical beings, we can realize the importance of being present within ourselves. That to be present within is to be present in life.

This all being said, I have a few promises to make to you. First, none of my work or projects I undertake will use AI. While I understand it's a "tool," I have concerns about it's implementation into society as someone with a background in cognitive neuroscience. Second, sustainablity will be at the forefront of all projects. The Earth is our home and nothing goes "away," so it's important to me have minimal waste, and use sustainable materials. Lastly, the focus will always be on humanity. People > profit will always be the sentiment.
